Here’s a brief guide to planting and caring for your flowers so they may continue to bloom for years to come.
As with any other plant, your flowers need nutritional soil in order to thrive. Before you plant your flowers, you should loosen up your yard’s soil and thoroughly mix in peat, compost, manure, and other additives.
Once your soil is ready to go, you should begin the planting process. Dig your holes about twice as wide as the flower pot and just as deep. Next, you place your flower in the hole and scoop the displaced soil on top.
Of course, planting flowers is the easy part—now you have to work hard to keep them healthy. This is where you have to keep an eye on the weather. If it’s raining, you don’t have to water your flowers; if it’s sunny, you should water them once or twice a day.
In order to flourish, your flowers need plenty of sun. Unfortunately, weeds are bound to attempt to overshadow your flowers in their own quest for sun. Whenever you see a weed in your yard, dig it up by the root so that it has no chance or returning any time soon.
If you simply allow your flowers to grow and grow, they can easily take over your garden. To keep your flowers looking nice all year long, it’s important that you clip them once every few weeks and remove any extra seedlings.
